On August the 2nd at 8:30 p.m., Speed Bop Quintet will open the SUMMERTIME JAZZ, a proposal to enjoy outdoor music on summer evenings.
Speed Bop Quintet was born at the beginning of 2017 to commemorate the great ones of the Bebop. This concert is presented as a tribute to the trumpeter Fredie Hubbard and the saxophonist Hank Mobley, as a tribute to the Hard Bop of the sixties and seventies. You can hear unusual topics in the jazz scene because, according to the group itself, “a repertoire based on oddities has been chosen.”
The quintet is integrated by Alberto Moreno (Tenor Saxophone and arrangements), Ruben García (Drums), Alain Martin (Double bass), Sergi Sellés (Piano) and Jaume Blázquez (Trumpet).
