Next Wednesday, July the 4th at 7:30 p.m. will be the inauguration of the exhibition “SEVEN VIEWS” by the sculptor José Mendiola at the Foundation.
The works of José Mendiola materialize the expression of the passions through the human figure, bringing to light what is often buried under the skin, the human cortex of the soul. In fact, the human dimension crosses the sculptures of this artist at different levels, from his work process to the plastic result of the works. The sculptor’s will is to turn the viewer into the protagonist.
The exhibition will consist of a series of works produced by the artist in recent years. This will include works of the last creation that are grouped around the serialization and the belonging of the materials. The newly created works will have the human figure as the backbone of the exhibition, since this is the line of work that the artist has. The works are made with materials such as polyester resin and fiberglass, molded to achieve more human shapes and textures.
