Next Wednesday, August the 14th at 9:00 p.m., it will take place the concert of Mary Lambourne accompanied by Guillem Fullana on guitar, Juanan Torandell on double bass and Teo Salvà on drums. On this occasion, the quartet has prepared a selection of themes ranging from jazz to bolero and Brazilian music, including some song from his latest album “Marinero en tierra” where the artist herself has put music to 15 poems of the homonymous book of Rafael Alberti.
Mary Lambourne is a singular, harmonic and magnetic voice singer. His contact with musicians from different fields allows him to conceive music as a path with universal projection, always open to new horizons. This impulse has led him to make a constant approach to new genres and musical styles. Jazz, bossa nova, boleros or flamenco are some of the styles that make up his current repertoire.
Guillem Fullana, trained in the Barcelona Music Workshop, has developed his professional work mostly in Mallorca. He has been part of groups and formations so varied that they go from the Big Band to the duo. With jazz always as a reference and inspiration, he adapts his guitar style in any composition with special emphasis on rhythmic games and improvisation.
Juanan Torandell began self-taught in music with the guitar, but later began the studies of electric bass by J. R. Abella and Toni Cuenca, while training as a bass player at the conservatory of professional music in Mallorca. He has a tour and experience in formations that go from pop to jazz through funk or rock, among others.
Teo Salvà began his jazz studies at Factoria de So with Jaume Ginard and “Miranda Jazz Combo” directed by guitarist Antoni Miranda. He continues his training at L’Aula de Música Moderna i Jazz of the Conservatori Superior del Liceu de Barcelona, and in 2013 he finished with honors the Higher Degree in Modern Music and Drum Jazz at the ESEM-Taller de Músics de Barcelona. He has collaborated with leading professionals such as: Salvador Font, Peter Erskine or Armando Lorente, among others.
