Next Friday, August the 2nd, from 8:30 p.m. Artdemossa 2019 will take place. The Coll Bardolet Cultural Foundation participates, together with the Valldemossa City Council, in this artistic-festive evening where you can enjoy, at our headquarters, exhibitions, concerts, and bar service.
On the first floor of the Foundation we have our permanent exhibition of emblematic works by Coll Bardolet. In addition, the Col·lecció de Vall de Núria, made up of works ceded by Ferrocarrils de Catalunya, from his painting room for the Catalan painter located in Vall de Núria.
On the second floor, the collective exhibition 3 FORMES, where artists Bàrbara Juan, Pep Guerrero and Joan Sastre approach the shoe universe through their own language and conception of art through Bàrbara ceramics, prints on objects Pep’s everyday life and Joan’s photography.
On the third floor, the Municipal Halls offer the exhibition of Enric Calafell, entitled La mirada de Sand segons Calafell. In it you can see the landscape of the town of Valldemossa and the Cartuja through the photographs taken by Enric.
On the ground floor you can see some works by the artist Tamara Lloyd-Cox. Tamara (1991, Mallorca) studied Fashion Design and Plastic Arts at the University of Barcelona, and Digital Printing on Textiles in Madrid. He has created his own brand The Cocowear, as well as the well-known Hello Guiris! Series, illustrations that deal with the massification and pollution that the island of Mallorca suffers with a touch of humor and satire. On this occasion we can see another type of illustrations with a more symbolic theme with images of nature and wild animals, with vibrant and vivid colors.
Within the festive atmosphere, you can also enjoy our concerts. At 9:45 p.m. the Hattori Hanzo Surf Experience group, composed of Gabriel Escalas and Pep Lirola (guitars), Jonás Roldán (bass), Tuti Bezares (drums), Jaume Clement (trumpet) and Raúl Morán (trombone). Born in 2010 with an instrumental surfing style and with western influences, a type of music that brings a different point to the rest of active bands on the islands. They have shared the stage with bands such as Los Coronas, Els Aphonics, Corizonas and Tiki Phantoms, as well as the international Molotov, US Bonds, Moon Explosion, among others. His songs have a guitar melody with a rhythmic base with character that manages to generate an atmosphere full of energy and strength.
And to end the evening, at 11:45 p.m., the musician Rigo Pex, better known as MENEO. He is a Guatemalan based in Madrid who studied musicology, as well as being a performer and presenter. He coined the term “electropical,” a style that mixes electronic music with traditional Latin rhythms. He also experiments with objects such as gameboys, video games or obsolete computers that he includes in his live concerts. In short, MENEO encourages the movement with bizarre lyrics and cheeky rhythms that take it away from the sweetened dance.
And to finish off, throughout the night, in Blanquerna street, in front of the entrance of the Foundation, we will have the Cluster, of Comic and Nous Media of Mallorca, which will have its own stop with its book La Costa de Mallorca, original drawings, prints and other publications. La Costa de Mallorca collects a tour of the island through illustrations and cartoons by Bartolomé Seguí, Nívola Uyá, Margalida Vinyes, Enriqueta Llorca, Pere Joan, Jaume Balaguer, Àlex Fito, Ata, Joan Escandell and Joan Miquel Morey, Tomeu Pinya, PepMi, Linhart, Flavia Gargiulo, Marta Masana, Juan Roig, Vaquer, Gonzalo Aeneas, saeta, Tatúm, Canizales and Feliu Renom. In addition to nine short stories by Gabi Beltrán. On this occasion we will have: Canizales, Pere Joan, Francesc Grimalt, Feliu Renom and Tatúm among others. All of them will sign copies to all who approach.
